Olena Vasylevska was born in UA into an artistic family with both parents professionally trained in draftsmanship. She started art training at the age of 5, and further art education by completing with Honors Watercolor Art School in UA. A few decades ago she relocated to the USA and continued pursuing art passion by completing the Master of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, California.
Olena lives in San Francisco, CA and is a working artist at Art Explosion studios. A frequent participant in Art Span and Art Explosion shows, she has on-going shows at the City Art Gallery in the vibrant Mission district of San Francisco. She is inspired by urban streetscapes and often can be found painting at different locations in the city.
Another often topic of her artwork is the Sea Ranch, located just a few hours up north from the city. The community located by the ocean is design to preserve the area’s natural beauty and a strong inspiration for her work. Olena is an avid athlete and loves discovering new places through the pursuit of searching for new surfing, windsurfing of freediving locations. She never forgets to take her easel for the trips to capture California’s unique coastline beauty.
